RJ2.5 WW1 biplane 6.1
Introduction
Following the success of the Airco / Dehavilland DH2 in WW1 RamboJutter Ltd where contracted to create an improved version for imediate service with the RAF. A number of changes where implemented, from the swept lower wing, larger cockpit area, inline engine, twin fins etc. it ended up a completely different aircraft that was approx 10kts faster at cruise and the same for top speed. It was still armed with a single 7.7mm Lewis gun.
Features
-Aerofoil shaped wings
-Custom cockpit with working dials, pulleys move, trigger moves on the gun etc.
-Semi-realistic flight model see here for an article on the actual DH2
-Control horns and cables to all control surfaces
-Detailed fuselage
-Realistic colour scheme
Controls
Well as you can imagine, a WW1 aircraft doesnt have much to do with activation groups. The engine starts on AG1, after that its just standard controls. Takeoff is between 30 and 50knts, cruising speed is around the 70kts mark, top speed in a dive is about 100kts.
Pretty pictures
Inspiration
Obviously the DH2 but the engine layout and details where inspired by another game user, Jborra, have a look at some of their creations here

@Type2volkswagen yeah its been trickling in, normally I get 1-2 days and thats it.
@RamboJutter
Up to 42! hope it breaks 50....
The deHavilland Vampires ancient ancestor.
@Tang0five certainly seems that way, in a way it was your brisfit that inspired me to build this. I think builds are getting a lot less votes at present (unless they are massive and by low point users)
26 now old boy! WW1 builds don’t seem to garner much interests these days. I personally think my brisfit is my best biplane but has very little to show for it. @RamboJutter
@Type2volkswagen Its not actually his engine, i just used his build for inspiration, i made everything myself, I also like pushers but it makes life so much more complex with booms etc. Cant believe this only got 25 votes though... easily my best WW1 build.
I've been playing with his builds also, I'll send you some links...
I thought i recognized the engine.... I love pushers, my 1st build is one.
God dang this is truly beautiful
I REALLY like this plane!! it looks really epiccccc
