In 2110, Kronshtad was being punished by the Ramuran. The war was now taking a heavy toll on both sides, with casualties in the billions. The Kronshtad found something deep in the mines of a colonized world, Geras. A crystal. Not a kyber crystal this isnt Star Wars. A red crystal. It gave of radiation yes, but there were no effects after getting radiation from it. Scientists on yet another world, Janehr, decided, "Hey, I wonder what happens when you infuse it with E-67A." E-67A is a highly flammable substance. But with the right care, it can be used. Once infused, the crystal turned into a liquid. After it turned into a liquid, they put it into a prototype weapon: the Model X20. The X20 was supposed to fire a projectile. During testing howerver, in an incident many call the "Liquid Incident", the weapon fired a lazer. Not a projectile-like one, just a long beam. This though, was groundbreaking. The gun, now a railgun, was accepted to be mass produced and used by the Kronshtad Grand Army, and designated as the Mk-1/A Type Z16.
