Carid '223A' Scaramouche I
[ACHTUNG: FICTIONAL AIRCRAFT!]
Carid 'Scaramouche'
In 1937, an aircraft requirement powered by a 1,200 hp. Allison V-1710 engine had initiated. The Scaramouche, officially the Carid model 223, was conceptualized. The role intended is a turn-fighter as well as a bomber interceptor with decent flight characteristics and can take serious dogfights against current aircraft of that time (eg. Bf 109, Hurricane, I-16).
There were two aircraft named in the Carid Catalogue as the Scaramouche: The 223 type and the 1,001 type, which are both related in era, role and aspects. The type 223 was made as a frontline fighter with a top speed of 520 km/h at 3,000 metres and a service seiling of more than 9,500 meters.
The planform of the type 223 is common for the aircraft of World War II: The elliptical wing was inspired from the Spitfire, and an in-house tail and elevator surface. Moreover, it is equipped with a supercharger and capable of generating emergency power from its engine. The intakes, however, has too be large therefore the concept of Meredith effect for the Allison variant has to be integrated.
Flight characteristics of the Scaramouche as described: It has decent turn and roll rate, stable at climbing and diving, however lateral stabilization is subpar due to the tail design. Armament consists of a 20 mm autocannon firing APHE rounds, and four Browning machine guns on mid-wing.
From further analysis, the aircraft entered service for the Allies.
How to Fly?
Since there is a cockpit, the feel of flying the 223A should be realistic too. Explanations in the craft instructions panel.

@Corn8 Set the propeller pitch to 45 degrees (use the cockpit view)
Alternative is to set the propeller pitch control in the designer into Automatic.
