Rutan Model 61 Long-EZ
𝐻𝑒𝓁𝓁𝑜
Sure, has been a while, hasn't it? Life has kind of started to kick into high gear recently, I have landed a full-time job at my flight academy and time has become a much scarcer resource. I have also recently obtained my commercial pilot license and I am now working on my multi add on. I promised myself I would post this project once I finished my commercial so here it is!

The Rutan model 61 is an aircraft almost synonymous with the term "kit plane". Capable of flying for 10 hours on only 52 gallons of gas over a distance of 1600 miles, this aircraft proved itself to be immensely capable. The iconic canard design and sleek build make this aircraft feel like a miniature fighter jet. The canard layout gives the plane a unique advantage in the fact that it cannot stall in the way normal aircraft can. Despite the plane's safe design many people still remained skeptical to the safety of these aircraft due their many quirks. One of the highest profile accidents in the plane resulted in the death of country singer John Denver (the artist who wrote "country roads") This design grew to be a phenomenon, being just as famous as it is infamous, I felt that it was worthy of a good replica and as such this is my best attempt. Since I'm kind of lazy ill just link yall to the POH for that more specific info.

As I said earlier my life has gotten really busy so as far as new builds are concerned, I wouldn't expect anything soon. I will at least post some of my 99% completed builds such as the Challenger fighter and Hoverbike. Other than that, however It'll be a while. Cheers!

Saw this bad boi in person at Oshkosh; really nice work!
How'd you make the nose wheel have free steering without it bouncing? Every time I try doing that on a taildragger the wheel just bounces around and makes me ground loop and/or flip on landing like crazy
Elegant build.
This plane is actually very beautiful and sometimes on simple planes I might release variance of an already made Plane what some differences like for example different paint job or a fixed version of it, do you know what I mean and hell I bet this plane is going to be even more beautiful and different paint jobs to
I squawked 7500 and Homeland Security showed up at my house
