Free Shipping
Free Shipping is a heavyweight robot from Team Special Delivery which has competed in four seasons of the BattleBots, having debuted in World Championship III. Free Shipping also fought in the 2019 re:MARS all:STARS event and both BattleBots: Champions tournaments.Four-wheel drive and box-like in shape, Free Shipping was built by Gary Gin, who earned the reputation as one of the sport's most skilled heavyweight drivers due to his success in various US live events. He also competed in Comedy Central BattleBots and early RoboGames events with The Big B, and as part of Lucky for World Championship II. Free Shipping was a remodeled version of his most successful robot, Original Sin, but featured a lifting weapon made from AR400 steel to get past the active weapon requirement for the show. Free Shipping kept many of the same features as Gary Gin's previous robots including a long wheelbase, four-wheel drive and a powerful, reliable drive system.?Free Shipping during World Championship III hero shots. For BattleBots, Gary Gin paired up with Jim and Forrest Yeh, who competed in RoboGames with the similarly-designed Ragin Scotsman as well as in King of Bots with Spin Doctor. They were responsible for the secondary flamethrower weapon, which was a prominent feature on their previous heavyweight. Everything relating to the flamethrower was housed in an orange box sitting on top of the robot's main chassis. As its name suggests, Free Shipping was originally designed to resemble a forklift vehicle, a theme that has remained with the team since its debut.
