-See below for flight directions

-Basics
The Supermarine S.4 was a British monoplane racing seaplane designed by R.J Mitchell and built by the supermarine aircraft company in 1925 for the upcoming Schneider trophy race in America.
-Design
The supermarine S.4 was a twin pontoon seaplane of sodden construction, it had a monocoque fuselage and fabric covered-wire braced wings, the pilot sat near the rear of the areoplane in a streamlined cockpit, at the front was a 700 horsepower Napier Lion VII engine
-History
It first flew on August 24 1925 and on September the 13th it raised the seaplane speed record (and the British speed record) to 226.752 mph (extremely fast for the time period)
It along with two Gloster III biplane racers was shipped to the USA for the race, unfortunately during trials on October 23 the aircraft sideslipped from 200ft (racing altitude) into the water and disintegrated, fortunately the pilot H.C Biard survived the crash with only two broken ribs, he said later that he lost controll completely after a vibration that shook the wing, the race was won a few days later by James Doolittle in a Curtiss RC3

-flight guide
Go to water takeoff south
Throttle up to 100% and hold pitch down
The only dangerous part in flying twin pontoon seaplanes is turning, taking off and landing due to the floats,
If you don't hold pitch down (i mean pitch up but you pull the stick back) the plane will tip and flip into the water.
For turning apply rudder to stop the plane losing altitude
For landing cut the engine at 100 ft glide in on a VERY shallow approach and let gravity take you down, when you touch the water make sure the rear part of the float touches down first, otherwhize you will flip over forwards!

-Suggestions
Take it for a spin around the race courses,
Fly in cockpit veiw for a fun and thrilling experience
Try and fly upsidown above the water at 5ft (top tip, insure the plane first)

Made to cockpit scale,
Close to original weight, and close to original speed
I used original photographs and drawings.

ENJOY!

PS: do you like this scale?
PPS: would you like to see more racing seaplanes?
PPPS: if you do want more the Supermarine S.5 is next
PPPPS: requests and feedback are appreciated

The trouble is its super hard to get the nose looking half decent, that takes up most of the build time lol, and almost all the schematics are slightly different and there are only about 5 photos of this forgotten beauty, @PlanesAndThings
