ARC Sea Condor

345 Neoico  7.3 years ago

The Sea Condor was adapted from a civil sea-boat design to meet the need for long-range patrol early in the Second World War. The Aircraft was flexible and could operate from either land or sea bases. Large fuel tanks and the ability to carry both depth charges and bombs made her an effective weapon against the u-boat menace. Forward firing guns allowed the Sea Condor to dive at a target, suppressing anti-aircraft fire before dropping her ordinance. Turrets gave the ship some defence against enemy fighters. Her large size and intensive maintenance requirements saw the Sea Condor replaced in this role with newer designs and she was regulated to a support role by mid 1943.
OPERATION:
ACT1: Drop depth charges.
ACT 2: Drop bombs.
ACT 6: Activate turrets (watch where you shoot!).
ACT 7: Turn on Leigh Light (powerful spotlight to illuminate submarines at night https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leigh_Light).
ACT 8: Activate wheels (deactivating these allow only the floats to be lowered and raised for water landings and takeoffs).
