V4 Light Bomber/Radio Guided Bomb
With the devestation done by the V1 and V2 weapons on English cities, an attempt was put in by the GFW to created a radio guided bomb to hunt down ships in the English Channel, as well as radio stations around the island using the design from the Horten Brother's glider designs. (Which later would be used in their Ho 229)
By 1942, a prototype was designed and in wind tunnel testing, and getting close to be put into the field. By 1943, with the sudden change of the possible outcome of the war, the plan was changed, turning the guided bomb into a single seat light bomber, with the option to still have it be radio guided.
Powered by two 109-448 BMW-built liquid-fuel rocket engines, and armed with two SC250 bombs behind the glazed cockpit, the V4 is able to reach speeds of over 1126.54km/h with enough fuel for roughly 20-30 minutes.
The wings and fuselage were made primarily of wood, with metal spars in the middle, and aluminium skin covering it all. The pilot is kept in a prone position to keep space and weight down, and to help the pilot withstand G's in turns.
For landing, the vertical stabilizers were tipped in steel, while a skid was placed below the cockpit. Landing in the V4 is a challenging feat to pull for inexperienced pilots, so bailing out is recommended, if a pilot is present in the first place.
The cockpit itself is pressurised if a pilot is present, and unpressurised if not, and left without a harness for the pilot.
Controls:
Landing Gear: Raise launch arm
AG1: Release V4 from arm
