JAI-X26 HSTV Starfighter is a research plane into super- and hypersonic speeds and flutter encountered in those speeds. It is a final iteration in series of designs that aim to delay onset of high speed flutter as much as possible. It was originally named only HSTV or High Speed Test Vehicle. It resembles F-104 Starfighter, thus the name.
Normal controls, VTOL for flaps. It is capable of landing but landing trajectory must be as low and slow as possible. Coming in hot and high will result in crash.
