Today is a great day! Today, at 9:02 AM Hawaii Time, I reached 5,017 points, securing the rank of gold! I have decided to create a flag that I have kind of always wanted to make. This is the flag of the Republic of China, known simply as Taiwan. Taiwan is a small but developed island nation/province that once held control over the Chinese mainland. While Taiwan is only recognized by 18 countries, ranging from the Vatican City to Guatemala. Whether they are a province or nation to your perspective, Taiwan's flag is not meant to make anyone upset. Meanwhile, fortunately or unfortunately, they have been kicked off the mainland and were pushed back to Taiwan by the place that everyone, including the UN, recognizes as the real China, the People's Republic of China. Taiwan, home to one of the tallest buildings in East Asia, Taipei 101, has a simplistic and pretty flag. Their flag is the original Republic of China's flag. The flag of Taiwan has 3 parts, a blue canton, a red background, and a 12-pointed star. The star, representing the sun, has 12 rays for the 12 months in a year. The sun being white symbolizes equality and democracy. The blue symbolizes liberty and nationalism. Finally, the red symbolizes the blood of those who overthrew the Qing Dynasty.
