Aegis Ashore
Aegis Ashore is the land-based variant of the Navy’s Aegis Weapons System and the centerpiece of Phases II and III of the EPAA (European Phased Adaptive Approach). The system incorporates land-based versions of the various components used on Aegis ships, including the deckhouse, AN/SPY-1 radar with the Mark 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS).
