Developed from a civilian business jet (Universal Aero TVR24), the SPJ is a high speed passenger jet used primarily to transport Spectrum personnel from Cloudbase (or any of the other nine Spectrum land-bases that house these planes) to ground installations/ scenes of Mysteron activity. It can carry up to seven passengers at speeds of around 1125mph for distances up to 12000 miles. On landing, the rear wings of the SPJ rotate through 90 degrees to act as a large pair of airbrakes. (although we never got to see this feature in the Captain Scarlet series). NOTE: A delicate touch is needed when in the air as it will become uncontrollable if one is too vigorous with it. Also, on take-off, a dab of opposite rudder is needed as the SPJ does pull to the right. Otherwise enjoy the flight! Press 1 to rotate the wings.
