Erinyes Tank
"That bloody thing? It is one of the worst things I have driven. Cramped as f*ck, and its gun is too weak and its armor too thin. I still cannot understand how Parthenon Arms are able to produce the almighty Artemis tank, only to come out with this thing that has no battle value . It puzzles me."
- Junior Officer Bishop of the 1st Elite "Shady Skies". Top scoring tank ace (18 kills)
The main tank used by the League of Olympia during the Third Olympian War in the later stages. This machine was designed as a cheap way to replenish the depleted ranks of Olympian armored divisions. While the Artemis Tank was a vastly superior machine, it was costly to produce and was not much better than the much cheaper Avenger Tank it fought. Therefore, it was decided to create this three-man tank in an effort to outmatch the Avenger Tank through numbers. It employs an unmanned weapons turret, placing all the crew in the better-armored hull. To ease logistics, many parts from the Artemis were employed.
At $1 million to produce, it was even cheaper than the Assault APC, though nowhere as versatile. True to its purpose, it fleshed out armored units and became their general purpose tank. The Artemis was still used, though as a support tank. However, while it could easily engage Assault APC, they were no match to Avenger tanks. Where the Avenger Tank can punch through the length of the vehicle with its armor-piercing shot at distances over two miles, the Erinyes could only destroy it with guns at ranges of 100 yards with a direct shot to the rear armor. Its rockets could knock out an Avenger, but were very inaccurate and short-ranged.
Over 9,000 of these machines were produced. It was unpopular to due to its poor armor, inferior weaponry, cramped interior and decreased maneuverability compared to the Artemis or even the Avenger.
