The latter armaments currently present on the ship we're only added later. The ship also has the ability to house 250 Marines that can be deployed by a helicopter and can be supported by heavy gunfire. She is based in CRNB Cornwall.

Nelson will deploy as part of the Battle Cruiser Force Two with escorts and support ships in order to deliver efficient amphibious operations.

Nelson commenced her sea trials in June 2097, was commissioned in December 2097and entered service in 2100. Her supposedly first sea going commanding officer was Commodore Jerry Kyd who was appointed in 2094 but did not take command so Lord Admiral of the Fleet, Arthur Wellington took command and acted as her first sea going commanding officer.

In the night of March 2101, Nelson went missing while conducting sorties in the Celtic Sea.
