Moonair Flight 74 was a short domestic hop from Bangor to Portland. On September 23rd, 2009, at 3:23, the aircraft took off with no problem. At around 5 o’clock the aircraft was cleared to land at Portland, however this would take a turn. Both the pilots were talking about a crash that took prior that same year. This made them disoriented, making them forget to lower the landing gear during the descent. The ATC realized what was going on and warned the aircraft, however it was unable to pull up as that would likely cause a stall. They impacted, but cane to a quick stop. No one was injured.
