Background

STB-01EA Watcher E is a variant of the STB-01 Enterprise, developed in early 2029 to meet the needs of the Mizuhara Navy as an Electronic Warfare and Early Warning Aircraft.

The STB-01EA was first deployed in combat during the Battle of the Okinawa Sea, where 25 units were sent for reconnaissance on the Neorasia Fleet. During the two-day battle, only 10 units managed to survive. One of the surviving STB-01EA belonged to Squadron SENA-3W, which was based on the Aircraft Carrier Soryu and bore the aircraft number 25. This aircraft was one of only three from the Soryu that survived the battle. The STB-01EA successfully landed on the rear deck of the Battleship Yamato, the only ship from its fleet that survived.

During the hunt for the Neorasia Battleship NAS A-250, the STB-01EA played a crucial role in tracking the A-250 during the Battle of the Yumemori Strait. The A-250 was detected by an STB-01EA from the Aircraft Carrier Enterprise, which immediately led to an airstrike by Mizuhara Navy aircraft on the NAS A-250. In just seven hours, the A-250 was successfully sunk 78 km southwest of Yumemori Island.

After the Civil War, a total of 34 STB-01EA units were confirmed to have been shot down during the conflict.
