The bell X2 was an experimental x plane built to investigate flight chacteristics in the mach 2-3 range. The bell X2 is a swept wing rocket powerd research aircraft developed jointly by U.S Airforce and bell and the (NACA) to explore aerodynamic problems of supersonic flight and to expand the speed and altitude regimes obtained with the earlier X1 series of research aircraft. Go easy on the controls at high speeds because the wings will rip off and has a slight nose drop counter that with the vtol thrusters
