Four-engine, eighteen-seat large AWACS aircraft based on a strategic bomber. The aircraft is heavy, but has a long range and flight time.
history
The aircraft was designed on the basis of the B-27 strategic bomber in 1975 as a new airborne early warning aircraft. The bomb bay was removed, operator seats were installed in its place, and a huge radar dish was mounted on top. Also several sleeping berths were added, on the place that was free of armament, because the plane could be in the air several days in a row with the help of refuelling.
