Halberstadt D.II (2.0)
For short readers: This is a realistic, full scale, colorful replica of a German WWI fighter. Use normal controls, gently pitch up near 70 miles per hour, kill the Allied schweinehunds with your single machine gun, have fun, and upvote!
Long version: This is the second and final(?) upload of my very own Halberstadt D.II. Changes include a new paint job, over 2,000 pounds of reduced weight, and a thickened horizontal stabilizer. The latter two shifted CoM and CoL back which drastically improved maneuverability. Now this plane can stand a chance against most, if not all, of the best World War I fighter replicas on the Simple Planes website, satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. The only problems you might encounter is with torque, which can be easily countered with a little opposite rudder. This will be my first and last upload for perhaps a month or two, so I apologize for that. I'll make sure my next upload is another original, quality design, but for now enjoy this replica of a beautiful and often forgotten plane.
The Halberstadt D.II was a biplane fighter aircraft of the Luftstreitkräfte (Imperial German Army Air Service) that served through the period of Allied air superiority in early 1916. As the first-ever biplane configuration fighter aircraft to serve in combat for the German Empire, it had begun to be superseded in the Jagdstaffeln being formed, by the superior Albatros fighters in the second half of the year, although small numbers of Halberstadts continued in use well into 1917.

looks awesome, is awesome
@HistoryNerd Nnnnnnice!! Please upload the new version! I'd like to see the experimental rockets ;P
Can you make the Halberstadt CL. II, its the fighter bomber version of it. It basically just add a gunners seat behind the pilot. That would be awesome! Please do it!
Thanks for your input @RASEN1914. I forgot to mention in the description that I made the Halberstadt a little faster than it really was to help counter the torque and make the plane more likable in terms of overall performance. Try setting the prop's horsepower to 350 (gives the plane an accurate HP/lb reading) or 400 for a more realistic experience.
As for explosive armaments, I decided against adding bombs or rockets, the latter of which was actually used on the Halberstadt, to keep the plane as light and nimble as possible. If you want, I could upload another version that has a more accurate performance and that carries Lieutenant Nebel's experimental rockets (realistic depiction; I won't just hook a couple rocket launchers onto the plane), as shown in the two photos in this link:

Good job mate! Very detailed and realistic.
The only problem I find is that is a bit overspeeded (130mph when it should go at 108mph) and does not carry bombs ... otherwise it is an excellent replica!!
Very cool :)
Awesome!
