Two-Cylinder Engine

I have made a two-cylinder engine to go with my series of John Deere tractors. It's not the best and sometimes it barely even works, but it is a good representation of the old John Deere power plants. Just throttle up and watch it go. VTOL up for a couple seconds to offset the strokes a little bit. For some reason the right-hand cylinder acts up a lot, but it may be because that's the one that gets slowed down by the offsetter. Feel free to build a giant tractor for this. I would, but it was enough of a pain to build the engine. I'd need a PC for a whole tractor. Have fun.

2,705 Jettison@LordofLego Made the crankshaft move as one. Had to extend the front by a whole layer cause one of the pistons didn't fit in the end.9.3 years ago

2,705 Jettison@LordofLego I was just wondering... Still like the design tho9.3 years ago
-
16.2k LordofLego@Jettison But you are correct.9.3 years ago
-
16.2k LordofLego@Jettison The crankshaft should be rotated only 90 degrees in between the pistons. I couldn't figure out how to do that and it wouldn't have stayed that way anyway, so I just left it like this.9.3 years ago

2,705 JettisonEverything is amazing... Except the crank shaft. If it is specific to this model of engine, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that 2 cylinder engines have one cylinder firing when the other one has half completed its "turn". Still love the design; has been consistent at starting.9.3 years ago
