The RDF 5/80 was a medium tank made as a testbed for 2 cannon tanks, at the same time it was made to be as cheap as possible leading to the squared shape of the tank, the 2 guns are used for totally different purposes: the turret mounted 150mm is used to destroy buildings and light armored tanks using explosive shells, the hull mounted 100mm uses basic shells and has a high velocity granting high penetration, the crew was well placed except the gunner and loader of the 100mm gun wich were in between the turret basket and the gun breach, the tank turned out to be kinda efficent but not a succes as it was unstable when braking and had only one hatch causing often the 100mm gun operator and the driver to be blocked in the tank if it was damaged this flaw made the tank earn the name of “the coffin”
