The Martin A2M "Destroyer" was a follow up of the AM Mauler attack plane. Designed to replace aging prop attack craft, such as the AD Skyraider, the A2M was designed to carry considerable payload, one that rexceeds the capacity of the B-25. The A2M was also equipped with a tailhook for carrier operations.
