The I-100 Comet was the first serial production jet fighter of the KAF that served from 1945-1953 where it was phased out and put into service with the KANG, the A-1 Model was the first production run where it was armed with 4 licensed production AN/M3 20mm Cannons, the airframe was derived from the Gloster Meteor after a Meteor F1 crash landed near KNB Yeager. A total run of 421 aircraft were produced plus 3 prototypes.
