This was a Mach 3 reconaissance aircraft designed as a replacement for Lockheeds U-2 aircraft had to compete agianst Lockheed's A-12, which would eventually become the SR-71, it lost to the A-12 becuase it had less range, couldn't fly as high, and was more expensive with no full-scale aircraft being built but there was a smaller model constructed (activator 1 for landing lights, activator 2 for drouge chute)
