((BUG FIXED, IF IT SHOOTS ITSELF REDOWNLOAD))

Original build here

Ju-88 A-4 variant here

Swarm version (multiple spawnable at once) here

  • The Defensive bombers series’ aim is to make killing AI bomber targets 10x more difficult, because fun is not allowed
  • (wiki)
The Junkers Ju 88 is a German World War II Luftwaffe twin-engined multirole combat aircraft. Junkers Aircraft and Motor Works (JFM) designed the plane in the mid-1930s as a so-called Schnellbomber ("fast bomber") that would be too fast for fighters of its era to intercept. It suffered from technical problems during its development and early operational periods but became one of the most versatile combat aircraft of the war. Like a number of other Luftwaffe bombers, it served as a bomber, dive bomber, night fighter, torpedo bomber, reconnaissance aircraft, heavy fighter and at the end of the war, as a flying bomb.

Functional armament

(Spawn as AI in aggressive mode, guns will activate and deactivate depending on if they are in arc/range)

-1x 7.92 mm MG 15 machine gun (dorsal) (covers the rear of the aircraft, can’t fire down)
-1x 7.92 mm MG 15 machine gun (ventral) (covers the rear of the aircraft, can’t fire up)
-1x 7.92 mm MG 15 machine gun (offensive)

  • [effective/activation range for the MG 15 is 2000m, stay outside of that range if you want to live]

Notes/updates

  • builds will be coming out whenever I feel like it at this point, no more posting every 2 days sadly…
  • Forgor the flag in the thumbnail :(
  • Gonna be trying to make these even more realistic with every build, this is a pretty good step in the right direction I guess
  • The next defensive build will come out… eventually?

Enjoy getting obliterated!

@TemporaryReplacement Oh also, although I can give little to no guarantee about when it'll be made and released, I'm planning to make a literal flying artillery platform, I think it'll be the perfect Defensive Bomber lol
