The Messerschmitt Me 262, nicknamed Schwalbe (German: "Swallow") in fighter versions, or Sturmvogel (German: "Storm Bird") in fighter-bomber versions, is a fighter aircraft and fighter-bomber that was designed and produced by the German aircraft manufacturer Messerschmitt. It was the world's first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft.

1944, as Germany is pushed back in the Ardennes Forrest, they experimented with a airborne suspended 100mm cannon and decided to place it on there best fighter, the ME-262. 2 were made, although prone to destroying itself due to excessive recoil, they went on to destroy 3 Sherman’s, and 6 M18 hellcats. On the morning of January 8th 1945, Pilot, Kurt Müller was tasked with intercepting a convoy heading to their defensive positions, unfortunately the convoy was armed with Anti Air vehicles, an M16, managed to hit the fuel tank and the wing, damaging the hydraulic’s. Sadly the 262 couldn’t pull up in time slamming its wing into a tree. Kurt was killed in action after impact, once the Allie’s found the wreck they managed to repair it and painted it in army Air Force colors. The 262 spent the rest of its days at a museum. Whereabouts of the second 262 are unknown, possibly scraped for metal.
