The Ionfire Mk III is Epic Engineering's entry for Chii's Dogfigt Challenge.
With the third iteration, it was our goal to make the sleekest - and closest to the original inspiration - version of the Ionfire yet.
Based heavily on the legendary Spitfire, with elements lifted from the Mk 24 and the Seafire FR 47 variant, this plane is equipped with 4 Hispano Mk V cannons, which pack a serious punch in any dogfight.
While it may be relatively heavy due to its contra.-prop arrangement, in terms of engine performance, this machine should be on the upper end of the spectrum, making energy fighting against older models child's play, even if they may be able to turn slightly tighter.
