The R204 Railgun is actually more of a Gausse cannon than a railgun, it was designed to add extra firepower to strike and attack aircraft.
The R204 has an internal 20 round magazine, and fires iron cored titanium rounds for increased armor penetration, which makes operating the R204 very expensive. The R204 can also use reinforced iron projectiles, which makes operating it much cheaper but reduces it's armor piercing capabilities.
