E2VO-10 Viscount

7,219 AquiliusEpic  one year ago

As the Great War loomed over Europe, rapid advances were to be made in the field of aviation. Not to be left behind, Epic Engineering pushed forward, taking on military contracts while avoiding tying themselves to one side of the war. After all, just because there is a war doesn't mean it has to be unprofitable.

Origin

Opening our first manufactory abroad in Switzerland, Cuthbert Epic personally took charge and seized the initiative. Falling in love with the Albatross and Halberstadt designs coming from Germany, in 1915 Cuthbert Epic completed the first production batch of Viscount. While not supplanting the established manufacturers in service of the German Empire, Epic Engineering was able to sell batches of this competitive fighter abroad.

Design

While basing a lot of the fuselage on the sleek lines of aforementioned designs, Cuthbert Epic was struggling to install a working in-house gun synchronization gear. Opting for a easier solution instead, he opted for Lewis Guns mounted on top the upper wining similar to planes in service with the Royal Flying Corps.

Handling

With a top speed of around 180kmh, the advanced aerodynamics of this plane make it a slippery foe. However, it does lose energy quickly in turns, which is why caution is advised in low altitude dogfights,

As always, thank you so much for your interest in our products. While this is a legacy product, aftermarket upgrades and modifications are still highly encouraged. If you still have any questions, feel free to ask.
