Lexair 300
About
The Lexair 300 is another plane by Lexair. It is basically a scaled-up design, but it does have new DPS-JE51 engines (I wrote the name on the engine), and a whole heap of new stuff.
My Building
This is a revolution for me, for a number of reasons. First of all, I have noticed that planes like REW's Boeing 737-800 don't even have a single stock wing in sight. I have incorporated these building skills into my own planes. I scaled down every single wing except the structural wing, and made my own fuselage control surfaces.
Controls
AG 1 | Engine Number One
AG 2 | Engine Number Two
AG 3 | Brakes
AG 4-8 | Lights (4 = wings, 5 = lower body light, 6 = spotlight, 7 = tail lights, 8 = landing lights)
Gear | Gear
AG 3 + VTOL up | Speedbrakes
AG 3 + brake | Reverse thrust
How To Fly
Taxiing (Ignore this if you are on the runway)
Activate 1-8, except 6 (only activate 6 at nighttime). Activate reverse thrust. Turn as you are backing out, to line up with the taxiway. Taxiing speed is 20-30 mph. Deactivate 3 after using reverse thrust.
Takeoff
Full power (if starting on runway activate 1-8, except 3. Activate 6 at nighttime only.) Rotate speed is 160 mph. After takeoff, deactivate 8, and gear up. When you reach about 4,000 ft after takeoff, deactivate 6 if activated. Cruising is 30,000 ft (Although island hops are 10,000~11,000 ft). 90% throttle for cruising.
Landing
Slow power to 75%. Activate 6 on long final (only at nighttime). On short final, gear down, and activate 8 and 3. Use VTOL to feather the speedbrakes if required. On touchdown, full brakes and VTOL all the way up. At 30 mph, brakes off and VTOL to middle. Deactivate 3 and 6. When at gate/parking spot, stop. Deactivate everything.
