This was a racer aircraft devloped by Britian, as part of the "Coupe Deutsch de la Meurthe" it was mostly designed around the new Jupiter IV radial engine, it had two prototypes the first failed as it had bad control problems were the wings were bending because of the large alierons and the second crashed after the spinner for the prop distegrated, The type 72 never made it into the race
