This version of the DFM-45 is made for civilians, law enforcement, and the DNAF. The DFM-45s has no rail and no threaded barrel. The letter, S stands for standard. This handgun is semi-automatic, chambered in .45 ACP, has a polygonal rifled barrel, and holds 10 rounds in the magazine. The slide is made out of 4150 steel which can take serious abuse. The frame is made out of 4140 steel which is very strongand can resist high stress. The slide catch, safety selector, and magazine release are made of 7075 T6 alluminum which is used to make AR-15 recievers. The bolt is made out of S7 tool steel which is very strong.
