AX-11 Lynx
The AX-11 is a direct evolution of the venerable A-10 Warthog attacker, aimed for the modern battlefield. Advanced avionics, flight dynamics, and stealth make this aircraft indispensable for close air support combat.
As per design, significant weight savings was achieved by doing away with an internal weapons bay. Stealth is preserved by mode of attack (fast, extreme low altitude engagement under radar) and by stealth capabilities in the ordinance itself. The potent and infamous machine gun present on the A-10 was ported to the AX-11. Upgraded engines allow this craft to fly at transonic speeds at low altitude, while reinforced and optimized wing tips can withstand low supersonic speeds.
The AX-11 carries a hefty and expandable ordinance or heavy bombs, laser guided air to ground missiles, and can even engage aerial bogeys with air to air missiles. Excellent stability offers a wide range or ordinance configurations.
