P-78,or XP-78,is an Indonesian experimental fighter jet designed in 1946 to replace the F-207 and old I-27s,Indonesia was looking for a jet fighter design to replace Indonesia old planes,instead of making orthodox desing like Japanese Kikka or German Me 262,they were looking for a design that have good aerodynamic and high maneuver possibility,they make designs after designs,until they found the design that will be named XP/P-78,the plane have swept wing and a rather unique wing design,similar to Japanese J7W1 Shinden,despite already using a existed design,the plane still have some problems such as low power engine and lack of maneuvering,though it have cutting-edge technologies for its time such as gun bay and jet engine,it still failed to entered mass produce and lose against more normal jet designs
