This version is OUTDATED after various patch. Something changed in the phisic, and the plane explode at take off, but dont worry, a new version is out. Just follow the new link
* INSTRUCTIONS *
There are only control bar, pedals, trim, machine gun and throttle. Needless to look for anything else.
If you want a more realistic and challenging experience set the engine at 450 HP
* TAKE OFF *
Give full throttle and as soon as the tail rises, pull up gently. Sometime there is a little bit of unstability. The original do also, but belive me, in the model is not intended. :)
* LANDING *
Approach at low speed and just on the track bring the engine to zero. Be kind to the contact, even if the model does not have a tendency to plant itself as high as other replicas. The tail skid is modified via XML to have a strong braking effect when it touches the track. The brakes on the wheels are there, unlike the original, but if you use them a snout is almost certain.
* STALL *
Simply the model does not stall. If you remove the engine and hold pulled back the bar, the model descends gently to a horizontal position at about 62 mph. If you take a candle and just remove the engine at a speed close to zero, point your nose down and start gaining speed without any other problems.
* DIFFERENCES WITH THE ORIGINAL *
Some but not too many. The model is quite consistent with the real plane. I chose to put "fake" instruments instead of using the splendid Gestour mod to maintain maximum compatibility and the spirit of "Simple" Planes, but the look is globally correct.
The model should also work well on potato-computers and mobile devices. Let me know in the comments if you feel comfortable and more generally, even users of fast computers, what do you think.
:D Incredible, this in one single day gained more upvoted than my Fokker Dr.1

fantastic
Beautiful looking build!
@ChiChiWerx Yes, I tried 450, 600, 800 and 1000 Hp options, and the two better are 450 and 1000. The first is slow and majestic, but a bit unbalanced and hard to fly. The last is fun to fly around the islands, and is "simple", as the game is born. :D
Very intresting.
I like the 450 hp option better...more realistic, but I can see why you went with the higher power, much snappier and easier to fly! Nice work at any rate!
@Carbonfox1 thanks men. 😆
Simply amazing, your WW1 builds are all fantastic
@ChiChiWerx :) Thanks. Really is not "drag" but "friction", due the nature of item (it's an half sphere, and I raised the friction on 1000% if I'm not wrong) So the drag in air is 0, and when it touch it slow down and keep the plane in line.
Yes, is faster, but I chosed to relased it at 1000 HP. Setting it at 450 HP you will see how was the 2nd alternative.
A little faster than the real thing, but beautiful work, was able to land it successfully on the first try, so I appreciate the fact you included the increased drag on the tail skid.
@ThePrototype my fokker probably will shot dow this too. 😆
The Red Baron shot down Hakwer in his DH.2
