Credit to This Challenge for the inspiration

Introduction

Right now the world is going through one of the, if not the biggest fuel crisis to ever happen. So i am challenging you all to make a vehicle, that doesn’t require fuel to run, but can also go round the Gold Prix circuit as fast as you can get your vehicle to.

Rules

• Must be land based (eg. Hovercraft, bike or just a car).
• Must be controllable by the SimplePlanes AI as i will not be driving any cars, simply overseeing the races.
• No Mods except for Overload or FineTuner, but drag must NOT be changed.
• To Qualify it has to go round the Gold Prix Circuit (using the AI) faster than 6 minutes and 7 seconds, as set by This Car.
• No restrictions on length or height, but has to have the width of less than half of the gold prix track, so both cars can fit].
• A player can submit up to 3 entries, but can only pick one to be in the selection. If they send more than 3 entries, they must either delete the most recent entry, or face disqualification.
• Must not have any fuel to start with, or have any components that require fuel like a jet engine or propellor.
• Any type of land based vehicle is allowed, as long as it stays on the ground
• You will not be judged on quality, a cube will score higher than a really detailed supercar if it is faster than it.
• Must be under 1000 parts.
• You can use a a car you or someone else has already built (but with modifications if it is someone else’s) but you MUST credit the original creator if it is someone else’s. Any contestants that are found to have plagiarised from another person will be disqualified.
• if a car crashes during the race, the race will not be restarted unless the other car crashes as well.
• You can use the qualification car as a baseline, but it must be upgraded from its original form.

Deadline

There is no fixed date, the deadline will only be when we have 16 contestants with at least 1 valid entry

The Races

When we have 16 contestants with at least 1 valid entry each, they will be asked which one they would like to select for the race, unless they only have 1. Each selected entry will go in the table below.

Each Entry will race against 1 other in the elimination round to find the 8 quarter finalists. This will then repeat until we get to the final where the 2 remaining finalists will have one last race to decide the winner. The runner up will be the loser of the final. The 3rd place will be the eliminated semi-finalist with the fastest finish time and etc for the rest

Note: Races will be held on high physics, no exceptions

3rd - 3 upvotes and a theoretical bronze trophy
4th - 2 upvotes
