The AFX04 is a triplane layout fighter with variable swept-back wings and binary vector nozzles. It has excellent high-speed and low-speed maneuverability, and powerful engines that can accelerate the aircraft to Mach 4 in the stratosphere. The AFX04 is one of the few variable-swept-wing fighters to have a weapon pylon under the wing. The motor on the pylon ensures that the missile is always facing the same way.
