there is maybe two thing:
1.you need to start the engine of the aircraft first,
there is battery switch on right panel turn that on first then turn Apu Switch on left side and wait for light turn on(or wait about 5-10 sec) and turn on engine switch it near APU switch.

2.or you turn on Only one Engine
Other than that I don't know I never Failed on start up
