KV-2 (1941)
KV-2 1941 was a Soviet heavy tank that saw action during World War II. It was an upgraded version of the KV-2 tank, which was first introduced in 1939. The KV-2 1941 had thicker armor and a more powerful 152mm howitzer gun, which made it an effective weapon against fortified positions and enemy tanks. The KV-2 1941 was primarily used as an assault tank, breaking through enemy defenses and providing fire support for infantry. Its thick armor made it difficult for enemy tanks to penetrate, and its powerful gun could destroy even heavily armored tanks.Despite its strengths, the KV-2 1941 was not without its weaknesses. Its size and weight made it slow and cumbersome, and it was vulnerable to air attack. Nevertheless, it remained in service throughout the war and was used in many key battles, including the defense of Moscow in 1941 and the Battle of Kursk in 1943.
