In 1985, Brazilian regional aviation was the most important since it connected all cities. "Amazônia Industries" saw the opportunity to grow in this market, especially when TAM airline was in need of aircraft of this size, so in 1983 the JRN-43 Ganso project was born, which was later named BRJ-12 Pombo, having its first flight in 1984 and in 1985 it entered service.The BRJ-12 Pombo Version was a common version with a standard white paint job but could be black or even red as the base color, while the BRJ-33 Pombo Branco Version is the most comfortable and elegant luxury version and also faster with black to gold paintwork in total more than 732 aircraft were built and the BRJ-12 is flying around to this day being a milestone for Brazilian industry and for Amazonia Industries.
