History
The Rockwell-Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm X-31 was an experimental jet fighter designed to test fighter thrust vectoring technology.
It was designed and built by Rockwell and Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB), as part of a joint US and German Enhanced Fighter Maneuverability program to provide additional control authority in pitch and yaw, for significantly more maneuverability than most conventional fighters. An advanced flight control system provided controlled flight at high angles of attack where conventional aircraft would stall or lose control. Two aircraft were built, of which only one has survived.(Wikipedia)
Controls
- Ag1: 3D ThrustVectoring
- Ag2: Brakes (you can use them with the normal brake input too)
- Ag3: Its a kind of fly by wire system which helps you to keep control of the plane at lower speeds, use it for the best results together with Ag1 and only activate after take off.
Inportant
This plane requires at least medium physic settings.
If something doesnt work pls report in the comments.

@Tessemi i know
@Tessemi i used a vtol engine for different reasons for the thrust vectoring and increasing max input doesnt realy change the acceleration of a vtol engine from my testings
@Tessemi with the wing area you are right i didnt thought about this one while building but its not realy the amount of thrust, its the acceleration of the vtol engine but i didnt want to make a brake that retracts with throttle because this destroys flight characteristics.
My goal with this build wasnt to build a replica as realistic as possible instead i wanted a plane which is fun to fly.
But im happy you gave me feedback
Very Good Build!

@Mustang51 thx
This is amazing man! Such a fun aircraft to fly and it looks great too. It’s very easy to recover after departing from flight too. Excellent job!
