Stallion Armored Fighting Vehicle Mk 1
VTOL up to move forward. Yaw to steer. Roll to traverse gun. Vehicle is fully amphibious. A wheeled armored fighting vehicle which will serve as the basis of a large family of more specialized armored fighting vehicles. Base armor is able to resist 20mm cannons from the front, 12.7mm machine guns from the sides, and rifle-caliber fire from the rear. A wheeled platform was chosen due to its superior on-road performance, higher top speed, strategic mobility, and lower operating cost. This variant is the Stallion APC. The doors would open forward so as to provide soldiers exiting the vehicle some protection to the front. A simple and reliable design, there will be numerous variants such as tank destroyer, infantry fighting vehicle, mortar carrier, self-propelled anti-aircraft artillery, and field ambulance.

What's the most latest version of this?
@PyrusEnderhunter Np!
By the way, thnx for upvoting my E-56. It means a lot considering your status in this game.
@Pilotmario Anything I can do? Can you tell me about this rp?
@PyrusEnderhunter Ehh, I'm currently in @GoldenEagle's C&C RP. My WWIV RP has been pretty inactive.
@Pilotmario Sorry if I am being very, Idk how to say this, upon you. I have a distinct love for the aircraft you have built.
@Pilotmario I have made my first plane, the E-56 cobra, it swims as well as flies.
@Pilotmario Thank You, sir. I also wish to join you in the alliance.
@PyrusEnderhunter Sure!
@Pilotmario this fighting veichle is very interesting. Would you mind if I modified and published it? I will give you credit.
@Pilotmario welcome mate
@FennVectorCWA Thanks!
@MrMecha Thanks! I aim to make practical things.
Just came here to say zat ur p-40 art is aweusome maite ..sorry 4 using dank skrupish langauge
@DragonAerotech lol
@Pilotmario I did! Great work on those other varieties! I commented on one of them. I have to admit I giggled a bit at the anti-aircraft variety because it made me think of my "corvette"'s anti-aircraft weaponry. I don't know how many times during testing this aircraft or that would be buzzing me so I'd flip on all the anti-aircraft weaponry and amidst the fireworks I'd see a bit of blackened debris falling. XD Admittedly ... it's a bit ... excessive. lmao
@DragonAerotech Check out the successors.
@DragonAerotech I can see the resemblance.
@Pilotmario I've been working on and off on a general purpose Deuce and Half using the new wheels. Now that they gave the wheels their own internal suspension it makes the extensive chassis assembly a bit redundant but allows them to be made far more narrow as a result thankfully. I like this APC above though, how many variants have you produced thus far?
@Pilotmario I looked around online and found a pic of the APC V and I guess my memory was a bit off on the particulars, here's an image;
@DragonAerotech I based it off of the Strkyer AFV. The side doors were my invention, since I didn't know how I was going to make convincing rear doors.
What was the inspiration behind this build? This looks sooo much like a vehicle in RIFTS its uncanny, even the location of the side doors! lol It's a vehicle used by the "Coalition States" a fascist human-supremecist imperial regime in North America. In there its simply called the APC V. The front though is the major difference. Theirs sloped down to a bulged bumper and a front entrance as well, had autocannons at the sides of the bumper and basically rockets in the front of the bumper. (I didn't design it, don't look at me! :D) The primary turret location on top at the centerline mounted a pair of rapid fire rail-guns. It also had four slightly raised ports with pintle mounted laser weapons that had to be manually aimed and fired without any kind of shield to protect them. (They didn't have remote weapon stations like they do today, to my knowledge, when it was first unveiled in 1990 when the original RIFTS main book was published.)
@Umbreon Thanks!
It looks great and handles like I imagine a real one would. Good work
True :) @Pilotmario
