R200 Volitus Heavy Gunship
"Planar motion... with the distribution of unrelenting fury."
The Volitus is one of the most heavily armed gunships in existence. It boasts an armament of about 200 rockets (mounted in "Nebula" Rocket systems), 51 grenades, a six shot vortex cannon (explosions oscillate), and a scram cannon, which ionizes a large volume of air to do damage. The way that the Volitus moves is interesting, too. It has no way of producing lift through traditional methods, and is locked in a VTOL configuration. It uses thrusters to move forwards, backwards, and sideways, while gyroscopes facilitate balance and yaw locomotion. While it is somewhat slow, its heavy armament has a 45 degree firing arc, which allows it to be a potent gunship.
Controls:
Pitch: move forward and backward
Roll: Move sideways
Yaw: Yaw
Throttle: hovering thrusters
Launch Boom 50: Vortex cannons
Launch Boom 25: Grenade launchers
VTOL and Trim: Turret Orientation
The Big Tip:
With most VTOLs, you need to think three-dimensionally about your orientation in space. With this VTOL, you do not. You just need to know how the aircraft is moving 2-dimensionally. This means that you DO, however, need to keep track of your MOMENTUM for a smooth flight.
Tips:
- Try not to wrestle the controls. It isn't very efficient, and has a small chance of throwing the gyros off balance.
- Ideal Hovering is about 25%, Ideal movement is about 30% throttle.
- If random up-pitching occurs, let go of the pitch input, and wait for the craft to balance.
- Use backwards and sideways motions sparingly (best for small landing adjustments or braking). Excessive use causes random yaw motions, and may throw the gyros off.

@RealismBuilder This was certainly an entry-level design. The first to use that type of movement. It's been a while since I've flown this thing, but if a I remember right, it's lateral isn't too useful at speeds above, perhaps, 50mph.
I find that this is has a very nice weapons system. But then there is the flying. I find it interesting, and hard to fly. But, this is the first time I flew this. Found it hard to get close enough to be able to reliably use the heavy ordnance laundhers carries by this.
@TheLatentImage I am so sorry I was drunk
@tangott Scale using XML, or scale using the fine tuner mod.
@Jesseoverink they is no way to act, clean it up or you'll be banned.
Very innovative as always. Fun to fly too.
and also I have got an idea of VTOL plane from this...
SUPER COOL...
Cool! I am more used to winged vtol! @spefyjerbf
@Rohan It would be fairly easy to do... If I have some extra time, I might do it
Can you make a 3D VTOL version of this?'
@Fjorge I'm not sure what you mean, but yes, I am back.
Your back... Though I can't really say I am happy (no offense)
Great job man! You always do great work!
@SlowJet @AdrianFlyingAce @FlyingThings Thanks! I have updated the desc.
