A-15 Close air support aircraft
The A-15, as the title suggests, is an aircraft specifically built for close air support for ground forces. Despite it's tailhook, it is not designed for carrier operations; the tailhook is there to snag arresting hooks most airfields are equipped with. Because of its reenforced wing struts, the A-15 is able to handle a much heavier payload than it's counterparts. In addition to a heavier payload, the wing surface area provides a massive AoA advantage allowing it to maintain decent maneuverability at low speeds. Its default payload includes:
(8x) AGM
(28x) 15 mm rockets
(2x) AAM
(3x) 500lb Unguided bombs
(6x) 250lbs Unguided bombs
(1x) 20mm Rotating barrel cannon
(2x) counter measure pods
Max speed (sea level): 620 mph
Service ceiling: Approx. 25,000 ft
Other specs under study
Controls: Act. Group 1 for tail hook
Act. Group 2-4 for counter measure pods
Act. Group 5 to jettison countermeasure pods
Act. Group 7 for Night vision (cockpit and bomb cam only)
VTOL slider for landing flaps
TRIM slider for combat flaps
