The Albatros D.Va was an iconic German fighter of World War I, serving as an improvement of the earlier Albatros D.V. Introduced in 1917, it featured a sleek wooden monocoque fuselage and was powered by the Mercedes D.IIIa engine, giving it a respectable top speed and climb rate for its time. Armed with twin synchronized LMG 08/15 machine guns, it was a formidable opponent in dogfights. The D.Va remained in service until the end of the war despite being outperformed by Allied aircraft in its finals years.

This build aims to capture the essence of the Albatros D.Va with a highly detailed cockpit, including a working airspeed indicator for added realism. The build features moving camshafts which look pretty cool from the cockpit, and a working IAS indicator on the right foremost strut which spins faster as airspeed increases.
Spinning airspeed indicator
I also designed a head for the pilot, as the aircraft looks weird flying without a pilot. In cockpit view, the pilot head turns with the camera, though you can probably only see this in multiplayer. Hope you enjoy flying this WWI classic—let me know what you think!

biplane bf-109
Excellent work, decals and paint-job came out nice.
@StraitAircraft 😂😂😂 all in good fun man, thanks for the support!
I'm not wining the aviation competition :(
Amazing build though :) would fly 10/10
@worldwaraviations015 thanks a lot man!! Appreciate it :)
@XEPOH eh yeah, I guess.
@XEPOH I used to make my aircrafts in a really crappy phone, so if I add precise details, it might as well make the experience laggy as heck.
@XEPOH oh yeahh.. I kinda rush things out when I build things. Kinda a unreasonable excuse but I usually have other projects to work on.
@XEPOH that tube is the radiator heater, the radiator is also located on the upper wing.
HOLY CRAP, BEST LOOKING ALBATROS PLANE I'VE EVER SEEN, well done! Stunning plane!!
@Bluesyn thank you!
