ARF -48 Direwolf
The Andosnian Republic Fighter Model 48 (Codename: Direwolf) is a Generation 3 high speed, high altitude interceptor aircraft
developed by Andosnia in the later months of 1978 to stop potential Iosian and Nordenvokian Cruise missiles and high speed bombers during the Cold War, despite the fact tensions were never incredibly high between the nations. The ARF-48 made substantial design sacrifices in order to achieve high speed, altitude and rate of climb. It lacks maneuverability at interception speeds and is difficult to fly at low altitudes, leading this aircraft to avoid dogfight confrontations. The introduction of the Direwolf was surrounded by early speculation and misinformation concerning its design and abilities, including the possibilities of high mach 3 speeds and possible bomber capabilities.
