Perhaps my "what"s come off more antagonistic than I intend.
They're not intended as insults, rather just being... what's a good word... confounded? confused? No... I don't have the vocabulary. Really, I just see a bunch of very strange stuff here.
Also, I lied. Sort of. I will sometimes upvote craft I have not tried. Often (I think), however, these are made by newer players. If I see a sub Silver player who looks to have genuinely tried (and has the basic sense to actually try genuine grammar because oh my god some of those people talk as though they're in preschool), then it may very well feel more worthwhile to try to promote them by sending them to the Hottest page. A high Platinum or such with an already sizeable following most probably doesn't need that as much. Yes, it costs nothing for me to upvote a higher rank player, but it's more likely to actually cross my mind that "hey, I could use this feature to do something, instead of token appreciation" with someone who'd be impacted by it than someone who really wouldn't be, at least not to the same extent. Otherwise, I'm more likely to just... forget. I saw this box and was more focussed on working out what's going on in the pictures (and silhouette. Is that Spongebob?). Maybe just my humour, but it didn't really get much out of me, at least in this instance. I can't say what my exact thought process is at any moment, but I suppose the best way to put it is:
Me interacting is arguably better than me doing nothing at all. I am "putting up" in the form of community interaction, which, molded by my own personal experience using this site mostly as a forum, is a key aspect at play. Planting the seed of a potential conversation is something.
I spotlight plenty of things too. Not my fault that many, many, many people are far out of reach for me.

Life is shit, so I don't have time to be at home, boot up my severely fucked up Mac, and play this game. I don't have other social media, so instead I find joy in interacting with this tight-knit community of people with one thing in common: having playing SimplePlanes.
