"The Gee Bee Model R Super Sportster was a special purpose racing aircraft made by Granville Brothers Aircraft of Springfield, Massachusetts at the now abandoned Springfield Airport [1]. Gee Bee stands for Granville Brothers."
This plane is really squirrely, but a firm hand on the stick will keep her under control.
When taking off, do not gun it at full throttle. Ease the throttle forward, starting at around 30-40%. Once you hit 100mph, you can open to full throttle and take off.
Landing is tricky. Try to come in at a shallow angle, airspeed at around 150mph. Once on the ground, let her coast and only use a tiny amount of break until you're under 50mph.
Good luck and
HAPPY FLYING!
