Following the relative success of the Ares 1 model, DHE engineers set about trying to replicate their success with a new, more powerful aircraft. featuring an enlarged cockpit, a fully enlosed turret, and double the horsepower, the Ares 2 represents a signifigant improvement as a fighter-bomber. it retains the four hardpoints of the original, but has addad two new wing-mounted machine guns for a total of six, and the machine gun in the turret has been replaced with the dual 50mm cannon setup that made the DHE trident such a lethal threat to interceptor aircraft. the plane is expected to phase out the earlier Ares 1 model, leading to a signifigant uptick in profits for the company. AG1 is turret, have fun. I wanted to rebuild an older aircraft with some new skills I had learned. I like the improvements so far, this plane seems much better than the first.
