I figured out that you can make missile or rocket resistant blocks. I am not sure if i am right or if someone else has figured this out before me. When blocks are in layers like in this model they show resistance to the missiles. The blocks dont break. I am not sure if this will work for you.

    I tested it in dogfight, and the energy from the explosion still breaks the plane apart, but the armor plates just fall away :D

    But you could nudge 3 or 4 fuse blocks into each other to cut Down on the bulk@Timmy123429

    I'm not sure this would be feasible in an airplane, becuase this would double or triple the part count
